As the sun goes down and moves away
it's time for the stars to come out and play,
dancing in the sky of a moonlight night
stars cast out their sparkling light,
their flashing smiles and glittering laughter
shed fairytale endings of forever after,
their dance ending and the sun coming soon
the shooting stars whisper, good night moon.

It was one of my favorite books as a kid, i just had to write a poem honoring it. I thought it turned out verry well

I love this poem simply because it feels happy. Therefore it makes me feel happy. I like how you barrowed the name of this poem from an old childrens book and breathed new life into the phrase Goodnight Moon.
