Fighting through

The place i am in is halfway light,
and halfway filled with fog.
Although the sun shines very bright,
it can't shift through the smog.
But now the fog is fading fast,
the grey clouds morph to blue.
I knew the smoke wouldn't always last,
but i had to blast a way through
