here one minute and gone the next
instant gratification not long-lived satisfaction
i break the chains of your confinement
only to get held down by the weight of your elusiveness
always there but never quite enough
the more i have
the more i need
more
and more
and more
i use
and then i regret
regret that i used
regret that there wasn’t more to use
caught in a cycle
you remain so elusive
here for this
here for that
but all the while never really here
never really here for me
only here for me to give to them
i use i use i use
and then i regret i regret i regret
regret that i used i used i used
caught in a cycle
you remain so elusive
here for this
here for that
but all the while never really here
in my hands
in the air
poison on my lips
but still i have you not
love is blind
for all i really want is the gift you promised to give
but never gave
eighteen years
but finally i learned
money can’t buy happiness

Hey great poem! I love the creativity throughout it. One suggestion, just break it up into stanzas. It's hard to read the way it is right now. (And i do understand that Teen Ink can mess up on the paragraph breaks and everything, so it's ok). Anyway, nice job!
