Friend.
A simple word.
So much meaning.
Six letters.
One syllable.
The way they listen,
Not displeased,
Not judging.
The way they help,
and understand one another.
Joking, and laughing.
Crying, and comforting.
Becoming so close,
In a time so short.
Family to some,
peers to others.
My friends.
Two words.
Two syllables.
Possessive.
Making life fun, and pleasant.
Holding my secrets, as their own.
Thank you,
For making my life a part of yours.
