the piano keys

why is it
i ask
that when i sit on the short bench
in front of the beautiful music box
my fingers automatically
brush the high keys?
is it the sound,
so beautiful it is,
or is it the simple fact
that i am right handed?
if my left side
were suddenly dominate
would the deeper sounds
suddenly appeal to me?
or would i still
build a song
with low keys
only to hold rhythm
while my finger tips
made a beautiful melody
and played the tune
with the high keys?
