No Love Lost

To love in all eternity
That is the goal of men
So sad to know conventionally
That love has long been dead
To look upon the world with love
Has ceased to tell a tale
As smog and hate corrupt the mind
While all in love we fail
Where love is only measured
To love or not to love
Hate holds infinite pain- distrust
To us and God above
