Ode to Rock Chalk

This is an ode to you, my anti-slip glue.
Beaming from my belt a glorious white hue.
Floury powder of M.g. CO3,
Where would I be without you?

When I climb too high, I reach at my hip-
For your anti-slip grip.

I have a bag of eagle claws- I tear with talons to the top.

I have a sack of suction cups- There’s not a bump I flop.

I have an addiction to friction.

You keep my hands from tearing wide,
Make me the best of dry.
Every route I’ve sended and all problems ended.
This is an ode to you, my anti-slip glue.

There’s no heels or toes about it,
I could climb that precipice. Exclude all feet entirely.
Only you give me that certainty.
This is an ode to you, my anti-slip glue.

Please do! Bond my molecules to the hold.

Strength twofold.
Skip the crux wanting luck, and stick that crimper-

Without a whimper!

These are things I just couldn’t do-
Without you, my anti-slip glue.
