Rushing from bed to bed, helaing people helping people people calmping people listening to what they say,
writeing perscriptions for meds, saving people's lives,
hearing people's shouts hearing people's crues,
watching people die everyday, helping people live,
that's why to these people all my time i give,
watching people's breathing lessen,watching heart monitors go flat,
Watching people who seem fine, die just like that,
Hearing worried love ones ask me again and again,
Listening to them sob, how long do we have and WHEN,
Knowing i have the power to make a difference on this earth,
shoving the paddles onto children's chests for all it's worth,
seeing the heart monitor come alive once again,
helping people to one more time hug a friend,
the feeling i get when i save someone's life
the tears down my cheeks when for the last time a husband hugs his wife,
The look on their faces when i say "you'll live!"
The big hug i get when someone's life back i give,
being a doctor is very rewarding,
knowing i save even 1 life makes my sould go soaring
