My skills in soccer were awful at best

I have tried to win the cup with despair

I have tried once again to bear the crest

The cup is quite hard to get but I dare

I have trained and trained with the best all year

I have trained in skills that will help me win

I went through training that dispelled my fear

I have practiced with good people named Quinn

The season began and I played with skill

The more I played the more I got better

I shot with the preciseness of a quill

Achieved finals and sent out a letter

I had finally won the soccer cup

I was so pleased I went out to buy a pup
