Could I open my eyes for the last time,
though have never seen you face to face.
Could I have my very last meal,
and yet never taste your sweet flavor.
Shall I shed my last tear
to have you never wipe them away.
Shall I feel my lips tremble with their last breath
without ever knowing the warmth of your kiss.
Might I take my last steps
without ever walking into your arms.
Might my ears fall deaf to all sound
before ever hearing you echo my words of "I LOVE YOU".
Will my heartbeat end in vain;
to never beat with yours as one?
