A Light

A light lights up the darkness, though not one all can see.
Its source is something special, just in front of me.
A scarcity a sight seen so slender,
A force that has me held, within this sweet surrender.

Eyes alive with joy, the darkness slips away,
Embraced we are together, and here we are to stay.
A beauty above all else, is with me here tonight,
Hearts begin to thump as I get to hold her tight.

Wordlessly she has me, has me at her leisure,
This is my guiding light, my one and only treasure.
Some say it comes from an angel, an angel high above,
But I believe some things run deeper than any love.

The one I have, is the one I always desire,
The one, who in my heart has lit the conquering fire.
A power has me bound, and stood against my stake,
A smile lights up the darkness the one I cant mistake.
