its not that these tendrils
havent found another soul to entwine
(you were right when you said i could have anybody).
its the fact that they werent just cut
away from you:
they were violently dismembered, pulled up by the roots,
and ripped relentlessly from the slippery surface of your heart;
which has become the ripe color of bleeding
cherry juice from the total war style aproach you took
to forget that you loved me.
