Tomorrow and Yesterday

A shadow of what could be
A memory of what has been
No matter how I try
I can't go back there again
To the pain of yesterday
The pain overshadowing my tomorrow
The tomorrow I don't care about anyway
The thought that you've gone
To be in a better place
Leaving me behind
With tear stains on my face
I know that one day
My life will mean something again
But for today
I mourn for all our yesterdays
And the tomorrows I'll face alone
So let me cry for now
And then I'll carry on
