To Love is No Crime

I can never get through the day
without thinking of you
my head says not to do it
but my heart says something too

my heart says I still love you
and will throughout all time
while my head tells me to be reasonable
but my heart says that to love is no crime

even if it hurts me
to think of you each day
I know you'll neve be out of my heart
and that's where you'll always stay

The author's comments:
What inspired this poem of mine is that my boyfriend broke up with me, and instead of hating him for it, I realized I still loved him. I seriously can't seem to get him out of my head or my heart no matter how hard I try. Which sounds completely stupid, but it's the truth.
