Some of the best leaders were never given their chance
They wanted to help the nation be better, but were quickly assassinated
Everyone only gave them a glance
Everyone else all but fainted

Martin Luther King is still having dreams
The land of the free, home of the brave
Old Glory is tearing at the seams
It seems as if America is living in a cave

Why must we discriminate?
The world pictures America as a great land
Which is still up for debate
We created internment camps which were not grand

Are we all really Americans?
Are we really in the land of the free?
Why must we mess with functions?
We will have to wait and see.
