The secret of life
Not known
Waiting to be discovered
Yearning to be shown
Wanting to scream
Living a dream
The secret of life undiscovered
Wanting so badly to be found
Sitting in wait in the forest
Not daring to make a sound
Weeping quietly tears of red
Petals of roses coming to comfort her
Secrets of the universe
Still not known
Waiting with life
Refusing to be alone
We may never know
Where the answers are
We can make rules
But they’re not the answer
They make us backtrack
Going reeling
Into secrets
Into the tears of life’s keening
The rose’s last breath
Comforting the secrets
Never to be found
Better undiscovered without regrets
The harp playing their melodies
The wind sighing their fears
The grass whispering their legends
The trees telling their years
The roses their tears
As they lay in wait
Wondering when and where
Man will discover their fate
They were discovered by the rose
The deer listen again
Growing wiser from their tales
But man
Blocking nature out
Trying to make it without religion
Making laws of nature
Of life’s Eden
Though they search the sky and ground
Man will never sate his thirst
The secrets will never be found
If the laws are laid out first
