Past Pure Tears MAG

By Anonymous

   Last night

I looked in your eyes

And saw a time

A time when we were different.

You and I and everyone else.

We were children with young faces

Large hearts and little guilt.

Alone our simple smiles could keep us happy.

We'd sit together eating lunch

French fries, grilled cheese, and milk.

"Don't play with your food"

But we didn't care

Because we were making a memory.

Lazily lying in the sun

We idled away the day

Slapping at our mosquito bites.

After nine, under the stars

Sitting in a circle,

We'd play our silly games.

The songs we sung

Jokes we told

And stories read

I will keep with me

Forever and a day

Within the twinkle of my eye.

This is where

I hold my thoughts of

You and I and everyone else

I thank you for being there.

At the touch of love, everyone becomes a poet.

Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

Art is the only way to run away without leaving home.

I love this. its like everyday life for people. I remember stuff like this from whe i was a little kid!

This reminds me of my little sister and me, a few months ago, thanks for reminding me :)
