If only you knew
What I was going through
Would you push me to do these things
That I don't wanna do
I need my space
I need to make my own choices
I need to make my own mistakes
If you keep telling me what to do
There is no way for me
To learn from my mistakes
And when I go off on my own
I will have trouble trying to find myself
So please let me do my own thing
I know you're trying to do what's best for me
But I need to learn from the choices I make
I thank you for everything you do for me
But I need some space
