Its Winter in Wisconsin
and the gentle breezes blow
at 70 mph
at 35 below

oh how i love wisconsin
with the snow up to your butt
you take a breath of winter air
and you're nose' frozen shut

yes, the weather here is beautiful
as another snowstorm causes a blackout in town,
so i guess i'll hang around,
i could never leave wisconsin,
IM FROZEN TO THE FRICKIN GROUND

The author's comments:

I'm from WI as well. You've basically summed it up. Well done. :)

hehe, i like it. you don't see much humor in writing anymore. thanks for your comment on mine. I've read most of what you've got on here, and though i empathize with the messages in them, they're not very good. Sorry, just trying to be constructive. Its obvious that you like writing and you have potential for it, so i would suggest brushing up on the fundamentals of creative writing and then maybe trying to write in form, like villanelle or sonnet, before you try tackling free verse again. Just my opinion.
