In the Rain
You hate to waste such a sunny day
 Sitting in your own misery
 So with some excitement
 You step outside
Knowing that it’s the only place
 You want to be
You know your life isn’t so dull
Not even as the rain clouds close in
 And make you feel small
You can’t contain the child it brings
 From within
 The laughter and the memories
Of times you shared with your former friends
 Your enemies
 You dance, you sing
When your cell begins to ring
Your hand begs you to answer the call
 But you ignore it
And with your head tilted back
 Catch the memories that
 Start to fall
