Dreams
Echo softly in her hallowed halls
Yet others scream defiance to the
Peace she brings. Each day, after
The sun sets and the birds cease their
Song
She is there. When the sky is dotted
With simple pinpricks of light that
Prance their way across her canvas,
She is there, cloaked in darkness,
Wreathed
In dreams and chaos. Peace and destruction.
While some sleep, others pillage, rob,
Rape, and kill. They desecrate her with
Their violent ways and disrupt her peaceful
Whispering.
Her child, Oneiroi, then becomes a
Presence to fear. Nightmares replace
Happy, ignorant dreams of children
And she weeps for the loss of
Peace,
For the loss of the quiet solitude she
Had always hoped to bring both
Animal and man. Since the end of
Chaos, that has been her
Goal,
The one thing she strives for,
Yearns for every time the sun sinks
Below the horizon. At the end of her
Time, she retreats to a secret place and
Weeps.
She cries for the joy and for the glorious
Smile that graces Eos’ face as she bridges
The darkness and the light. She weeps
As her cloak of darkness, dreams, and chaos
Consumes.

Rosy-fingered
She opens the gates of heaven
And allows light to shine upon
The world. At her insistence, dear
Apollo rides forth and the people
Rejoice
In the dawning of a new day, in
The return of their precious sun.
With her saffron robe flowing all
Around her, she smiles a most
Glorious
Smile that rivals even the sun.
Her time brings smiles, and good
Morning kisses. Breakfast starts
Frying and roosters crow during her
Time.
As her sister departs with her
Tears, always entwined with her
But never able to touch or even
Glimpse the heaven’s gates, the world
Belongs
To her, and her rosy fingers. Her and
Her saffron-colored robe. She is
Permitted to watch the product of
Her work, the smiles and the
Laughter.
But she turns her back on the darker
Side of things. The bridge between Nyx
And Hemera she may be, but she
Ignores the dark in favor of the
Light
And she

Smiles

Her

Glorious

Smile.
