Seeing Red - Turning Blue
I remember strawberry picking
Back in June
If I was a strawberry
Would you have picked me too?
Probably not,
Because if I was a strawberry,
I would be blue.
My tears would fall
But you’d mistake it for dew
Your run towards the red
As I’m worshiping you
So, I hope your red berry
Gives you deja vu
I hope you think of the strawberry
Covered in blue.

This piece is something I did during the poetry unit of my creative writing class. It's about not being what someone wants even though they are absolutely everything you want.
