Growing Up On The Ocean ~A Golden Shovel based on “Waves Rolling Up” by Kimiko Hahn
Running across the waves,
Just like I used to when I was a kid then.
The reality sets in,
it is just me, myself, and I.
On this beach,
I keep running, because it is my free will.
My mind tumbles and tumbles.
I lay down,
throbbing in my head.
I lie and just contemplate over and over.
I get lost in time,
The afternoon is done, bringing the evening.
As I almost toppled
I fix my stance
because of the sudden spring.
A few seconds ago
I look to my side.
I notice, I am drenched
in the partisan,
sand.
