Above the Clouds: A Journey on Huajiang Bridge (Guizhou Province, China)
The world’s tallest bridge, soaring 2,051 feet high,
Vehicles streak across like comets in the sky.
Within the glass tube, I drift above land and tide,
Peering down the river—my heartbeat amplified.
To my left and right, the canyon yawns, immense and wide,
Bungee jumpers plummet, like eagles in a fearless glide.
Wingsuited skydivers unfurl, they leap, they fly—
Spiraling with the wind, fierce as a battle cry.
A minute’s ascent lifts me to realms of light,
Dining in the cloud-top café, senses all alight.
At dusk I brush the moon, bask in its gentle white,
And pluck distant stars that shimmer in the night.
Oh marvel of engineering, sparkling in twilight—
A bridge above the heavens, turning dreams into flight.
