Ahem, can I get your full attention?

3 2 1, GO!

VROOM ZZZ ZIP

Hot rod whizzes at 200 miles an hour

Motors rev and buzz and heat

Interior system scorching like planetary core

No one is out yet

But soon they will be

Seemingly straightforward but

They attempt to shortcut

Crash and burn to the left

Fire and smoke cloud the track

Temporarily blind

Lost in his responsibilities

A task so simple yet

Every second is painstaking

A curve is up ahead

Rubber burning, screech and holler

Adrenaline bursting at 200 miles an hour

Foundation exhausted

Intricate grooves sears to smooth mantle

Aided by the burning friction of

One hundred earthquakes

Soon he knows he will have to pit

But what if everyone goes past

Without him?

What if he gets left behind

To crumble?

Many have this mentality

But few know the truth

Of taking a break every 20 laps

So he takes a vacation

People surround, replace wheels

Tank filled and mechanism adjusted

He is for once in a while

Not burning but blanketed by crisp coolness

Like floating alone

In an icy lake

No responsibility

Life and stress frozen still

Tranquility

Purest focus in his soul

He is reincarnated

Calm, cool, collected

He starts again

To reach 200 miles per hour
