If the World Could See
They yell,
 They tease,
 They laugh in your face.
What is it like to really have a place?

All I want is for someone to care.
Oh why, oh why, isn't the world fair?

 Won't you listen,
 When I'm feeling blue?
 I listen for you.

Why do you yell at me,
For the things I cannot control?

 Since when is being different,
 Been a crime?

 Will you see,
 I am me.

Will you please stop to see,
That all I want is for you not to tease,
 Not to laugh,
 Not to yell.

 I want to be seen,
 For who I am.
 I am me,
 In my actions,
 But really,
 I am just like you.
