Even If Things Change

Everything has turned,
a new leaf will fall,
everyone has changed,
is the life I knew here at all?

These people with faces,
are suddenly wearing masks,
is reality too harsh to question,
a question too hard to ask?

You can't stop a green light,
from turning red,
you can't change what
comes ahead.

Don't let mistakes linger for long
don't let who you are go away,
keep that person strong
and tell them to stay.

There's going to be that boy,
you'll take a glance,
he'll look back,
and the story will start.

He'll smile and smirk,
look at those eyes,
you dream and realize,
you've finally found your heart.

You can't stop a green light,
from turning red,
you can't change what
comes ahead.

Don't let heartbreak rule you,
don't let him walk away,
with a love that true
he'll surely always stay.

When those tears of worry,
when those thoughts of fury,
control you like a puppet,
you have to go and stop it.

Stop,
what you're looking for,
Drop,
what you're doing.

Take off your dancing shoes
forget life's pain,
no time for blues
just stand in the rain.

You can't stop a clock,
you can't change the past,
all you can do is take the walk,
and make the memories last.
