Tension eased into relief
Rivals turned
friends
By a small item
Slender
Sleek
Caressed onto a piece of paper
The room made no noise
It was
dark
cold
Slender and sleek
It hit the paper
Rivals turned friends
Snarls turned into smiles
The bodies moved through the room
Slowly
Surely
Each exiting
one by one
To enter a new world
One without
violence
ending the sadness
