You took the cross for the unworthy
Your flesh was torn for the unholy
You endured unimaginable pain for those who aren’t righteous
You took on all these things not gaining one from us
And you didn’t complain, not once
Your only wish is to see us be saved
And you only wanted us to know your love
You took on the cross
The nails
And all the pain of the sins
That were to and will come
We didn’t deserve the least of these
Yet you thought of us anyways
Thank you lord for your kindness and your love
Thank you for taking on our burden
And enduring the pain and suffering that was meant for us
We may never be able to measure up to you
But that won’t stop us from loving you
And bringing glory to your name
