Gunshot fright
The sky was set ablaze
Through the wood
as all men should
The ambush set in a daze
In my eyes
A soldier dies
Another angel cries
Enemy lines
Seen through the pines
The blood shed about to begin
Silent gash
A sinful flash
Chances of victory drawn thin
