The Friend
You seemed like a friend but I didn't comprehend
That was when I sent you a message so dear
I just wanted to see what wasn’t so clear
I hoped it wasn’t me
I hoped they could see
That this was not the end
You seemed like a friend but I didn't comprehend
All because of the little thing I said
I was left to dread
That my friend was going to disappear
Just so I could shed a tear
I hoped I wasn’t left with what was the end
You seemed like a friend but I didn't comprehend
I realized this was all my mistake
But I didn't realize you were fake
It was right in front of my eyes
All your little white lies
That led this to the very end
