Spiders
Its black legs tickle across my shoulders
I rush to brush it
off, crush it
and go back to reading.
I look up and see a black body frantically crawling across the wall
Spiders
Scurry out of the
sunken cracks.
Paranoid, as I am
I feel them all over
I try to
Sweep the spiders off
They are infesting my brain
They keep coming in
Crawling through my skin
Wanting to sink their venomous fangs into me
I feel like I’m suffocating
There must be a way out of this hell
Their eyes are watching me
Preying on me,
Trapping me,
Consuming me, the wide-eyed girl who just wanted to be their friends
Never did I want to frighten them
Nevertheless,
They fill my abdomen
and build webs in my brain
