Weight Falls
Hitting a workout at the gym, pushing myself.
Pushing the weight, feeling stronger than ever.
Adding more weight seems like no big deal,
Feeling like I’m able to take on the world.
Adding more plates on the bar, starting the rep
The bar weighs my arms down, I put on too much,
The weight fighting me down and giving me stress.
I’m overwhelming myself with the weight I once thought I could take on,
Doubt runs through my mind,
No longer having the strength I had once before
Do I quit? Do I let the weight take me down?
Or do I reach for that inner strength to help me get it up.
No other choice but to fight with the weight, because quitting shows weakness.
Slowly pushing up the weight that’s pushing me down,
Finally getting the weight off my shoulders.
Giving me all confidence that I once lost before.
