A Second Chance
Oh my dear brother, the one I will forever cherish
Drugs have consumed you, and I’m afraid that you will perish.
My dear Alex, I love you even though,
Overcoming your addiction is so painful and slow.
When I was younger, I was told
That people who do drugs are heartless and cold.
But you are not, don’t you see?
You’re the nicest man in the world to me.
You’ve been to jail,
And you’ve grown pale.
You’ve lost hope,
And you’ve been unable to cope.
My sweet brother, I miss you so much,
I will always feel your love and your kind touch.
One day soon, I hope to see
That you do not love the drugs more than me.
