My Childhood is Slipping Away
“Oh, how those childhood memories shine;
A time when life was simple, yet rich in store.
(The warm, fuzzy feelings will always be mine)
Our imagination running wild and free from design
Armed with the innocence of youth and a world to explore.
Oh, how these childhood memories shine.
We’d climb trees, pick flowers, and dance with the vines.
Giggling and screaming as we played with dolls on the hardwood floor.
(The warm, fuzzy feelings will always be mine)
Feelings of happiness so big, it shivers up and down our spines,
My best friend and I, together since the age of four.
Oh, how these childhood memories shine.
The world was full of magic, full of surprise,
A place where love and happiness can’t be ignored.
(The warm, fuzzy feeling will always be mine)
Back to when my life was perfect, completely divine;
When ice cream or a new doll was the best reward.
Oh, how those childhood memories shine.
(The warm, fuzzy feeling will always be mine)”
