You draw me in every time I see your work.

You tend to lurk at night, but that’s quite alright.

Fondness for souls and dragons swirl around your carefully arranged taps on the board.

You roar and hoot and purr unlike other humans,

all while being one of the most valuable people I will ever meet.

You took me and permanently rearranged my guts. The only surgery pthat I never knew I wanted. 

Tik Tok.. Tik Tok.. the internal clock breaks.

Time stops and you hide inside my ribs for warmth.

Your heart fuses with my own,

despite the differences we have in anatomy.

Sometimes you think something’s wrong and you shut down.

You turn into a machine and go into a soft, subtle reboot.

Rebooting is your way of growing and updating.

I don’t mind this at all however 

since you’re the one for me.

Every day I spend with you, I learn something new.

Every night I spend with you, I laugh until I fall out.

I wouldn’t sit down and write you this ode to you and your current 16 years of existence if you were a blank puppet. 

You’re the reason for my windows opening and my lights turning on.
