Broken Promises

Loneliness washes over me as I lay here in darkness, missing the feeling of your body close to mine. Memories of us flooding through my mind as tears stain my pail cheeks. Wondering why you haven't come back to me yet. You promised that no matter how bad things got that we would never separate. You promised me always and forever. But here we are, you no longer by my side. I'm left here with a broken heart, and broken promises. I now know that forever always comes to an end.
