Once you have loved someone, they're always in your heart
Once you have loved someone, you can never truly part
Memories will keep them near, and forget them you will never
For they are a part of you, to carry and treasure forever
There is a fake love and a real, and if you give it some good thought
You will find that real love has a string, and fake love does not
If you truly love someone, they'll always be close at heart
For true love can keep two people together, from a million miles apart

That's a really descriptive way to describe that. That's beautiful. Thank you so much. I feel like that's descriptive of just how my emotions feel in general, soft-spoken, but also raw. That's a really visual way to put that

This absolutely beautiful. I love reading your work. This one is just so true and relatable. It describes love very soft but also raw. Like wind through trees which I guess doesn't make any sense but it how my brain describes it to me and somehow makes sense to me.

Oh. My. Gosh. This is beautiful and so amazing! I love your poetry and was hoping that you could permit me to use this in the book I am writing. I may have asked this on another one of your works, but I cannot find it, so I won't use it, with or without permission. I'd love to give you full credit for this if your answer is yes. I originally wrote this piece to be general truth to how once you have loved someone, no matter what happens to them, they never leave you completely. But secretly, I dedicated this poem to a certain someone who will forever remain unanimous. Personally, this is one of my favorite poems that I have ever written. It is one of those things for me that when I read it, it makes me really think about it. Love is not hollow. It also always reminds me that even death doesn't break the love that you feal for people that you have loved. Family. Friends. And no matter what happens you always have your memories. And they do help.
