Unreciprocated
I have so much love for you but you’re lost.
I search and search but you never return.
I’ve waited so long with such cost
I’ve wanted to be your dove but all you do is toss.
I need self-love but I never seem to learn,
All this waiting at no cost.
I keep waiting and waiting but it’s making me lost.
I want you so bad, I yearn.
But to no avail I've been lost.
I’m so tired of being glossed,
My love for you brings self concern.
And all of this waiting at what cost?
Just wait for our love to defrost,
Our fire so big, we’ll burn.
One day our love will be lost.
So at last you’ll stay uncrossed,
Until we take this turn.
I’ll do whatever it takes, whatever it costs,
I want you, we’re long-lost.
