OVERTIME
1 “My feet hurt. But I have to get this done”.
2 Right now, not later.
Treat yesterday like tomorrow.
The smell of hard work.
“How have you been”?
How do you answer that?
Holding the weight of things you can't lift.
My mouth goes on to say, “new day same sh*t”.
The feeling of having to.
Drowning in the debt of life and swimming in regret of decisions.
Wait what's going on? You ask yourself as you realize
where you've been for the past life.
But not your life. Their life. His life. Her life.
Sometimes we die just to step one foot closer towards
12 life.
"Given' everything they got to stitch them swishers on ya Nike's". (Line37) WWGO
15 New school most likely. With your appearance being
Pricey. Fighting. Riding. Hating. Liking.
But loving it all until we're at rest.
17 Inhaling the hustle until our last breath.
18 “Keepin’ your head above water, hustilin’ to
survive”.(Line28) WWGO
That's you being you. The you that you have to
be.
Your mind told you “stay asleep” your body yelling 21 “FIVE MORE MINUTES”! Alarm screaming “SOS”. Just time to get the week finished.
22 Being in that group is just living life with a soul.
23 Hair blowing in the wind. Feelin’ the heat in the cold. 24 Emotion, feeling, dealing with shivers and chilling’s 25 of the cold outside world. But embracing it
26 nonetheless.
