A Desired Love
A Desired Love
You were my love and my first love too,
Cute, friendly, mature, honest, one of a kind.
My mind feels like the ocean: cold and blue,
And my heart feels empty, as it's lost its shine.
Now that we're apart, you don't know what to do,
But that’s how life is, and you’ll be just fine.
And you ain’t never gonna find a love like mine.
I try to move on and find love in someone new,
But every time I try it feels like a waste of time.
No one can compare yet, or I just don't have a clue,
Cuz’ the love we shared was angelic, a pure sign.
But maybe it's time to let go of the past and retract,
And I’ll focus on the future, find love so divine.
I'll cherish our memories, but they won't hold me back,
I’ll find a new love, a new meaning to define.
And you ain’t never gonna find a love like mine.
You know I'll always remember our love so true,
And I'll be happy knowing I’ll always be on your mind.
Now it's time, time for me to say a goodbye to you,
My final words to you, stated, written, and signed.
Our time is finally over and so long overdue,
Feelings which end here with only space to decline.
And you ain’t never gonna find a love like mine.
