1600's Midlife Crisis
1600’s midlife crisis
My life is quite tame if you ask me
I am just a simple shepard
Sometimes I wonder what else I could be
I am very calm cool and measured
Today has been a very fine afternoon
The wind flows like a running river
Seems as though a storm is heading soon
The wind is now acting like a messenger
Do I dare leave this town
I will grab this horse and go far away
There is no reason for me to stick around
One thing for sure tomorrow is a new day
I will get to be all on my own
Right or left which way do I go
My mind is now set in stone
Who care I have nothing to owe

This poem is Ekphrastic poem about a painting that is named " Landscape with a calm" by Nicolaus Poussin. It is my take on the painting itself and my own deeper meaning.
