Different Too
What's so different about you?
Is it the way you walk and talk,
Or the way you never smile?
Is it the way you hide behind your hair,
Or the way you never point, only stare?
Is it the way you carry yourself,
So proud, and tall, and strong?
Or is it the way you can figure out,
So easily what is right and what is wrong?
What's so different about you?
Is it the way you look at me,
In a way,
That makes me think you truly see?
Is it the way you touch my hair,
And ignore the people who stare?
Or is it the way you laugh,
Like shaking off cobwebs of the past?
Is it the way you take my hand,
And pull me up to stand?
Or is it that you follow me,
With eyes only I can see?
What's so different about you?
Is it the way you walk and talk,
Or the way you never smile?
Or maybe you're just different to me,
Because I'm different too.
