Art’s Presence in Life
Art’s Presence in Life
Art is a safe space
It is therapeutic yet unspoken
Curling the ones broken
With its embrace
With its touch, your heart feels the most awoken.
There is an erase,
the poker face
From which you hid behind to protect yourself from the snakes
That leaves a distasteful aftertaste to digest.
It releases the serotonin that flows
from all the ideas coming through
Resetting your eyes from seeing the world only as blue.
It is the winter rose
That makes you feel blessed
on the cold days that there still exists some color
Making you motivated to move past the bad.
All the moments where you are sad
as you decolored
Gone
But still expressed with lead
to mark that it once dawn.
In the end, one begins to hear the music filled with laughter that was once lost.
