Ode to Cool Days
Breeze, breathe life into my dehydrated body
Let your arms hurl at that sun’s gaudy Roddy
Your choreographed dance for the fodder
A delicious tune that is far broader
But, oh the days that winter must bring
The warm sunlight reminds us of spring
The perfect weather for elaborate plans
To lay in the sun with outstretched hands
Despite the warm days,
I belong to the bitter, cold air that pays
That pays to keep me sane
You keep me from pain
