Sand,
between my toes
as i walk
along the edge.
Waves,
crashing
against my ankles
pulling me in
deeper.
You,
standing there
by my side
enjoying the sight
with me.
Sunset,
in the background
beautiful colors
you stealing kisses
from me.
Fireworks,
light up the sky
as your hand is in mine
happy birthday
to you.
Bedtime,
as I lie awake with you
talking things
speaking reality.
The next day,
waking up next to you
seeing you sleep
peace in your face
Realization,
that i love you
and you love me
but things will
never be the same.
