There’s a toss…
And then
For that one moment
That hanging second
It defies gravity.
Then it falls…
Down…
Down…
Down.
It bounces a few times
And rolls into the street
And waits
For me to come fetch it.
But that one fragment
Of suspended silence
Of hovering above the ground
Of defying gravity
Is amazing.
