Teenagers
Too reckless for a child, too childish for an adult,
Simply look to the teenager and their gay and joyous cult.
When I was young all I wanted was to be a strong and wise adult,
However, in more recent times to be a juvenile was what I wished for the most.
But which to be and which to be not is a question for the ages,
I think I’ll try the middle ground and be the teenager that's plotted on my pages.
Yes! A carefree teenager that's what I wish to become,
Not troubled by looks and media that cloud the words on my tongue.
Yes I’ll be reckless and yes I’ll be free but it'll be all for me,
I’ll be free as a bird in the new spring wind in these high school years to see.
