The Girl's Long Day
I eagerly leap like a lion out of bed and begin to get dressed.
I put on my newest Converse sneakers and Lululemon shirt.
I am a cool girl.
I jump outside into the scorching sun, burning off my skin, realizing it’s too hot for this outfit.
I sprint back upstairs to switch from clothes to my bathing suit and head out again.
I am a pool girl.
Happily tanning by my pool, my phone rings saying, “Hey, do you want to come over?”
My friend texts me but I am enjoying the pool too much so I leave it unread.
I am a cruel girl.
After I am done tanning, I grasp I am behind on my back to school August shopping.
I drive to the local Staples to buy binders, books, and paper.
I am a school girl.
While searching every isle, looking for the coolest items to bring to school,
I see a glistening diamond ring that calls to me, left all alone so I decide to wear it.
I am a jewel girl.
Unfortunately, the owner of the ring, Nell, shrieks when realizing that it's missing.
I try to hide but she sees it on my finger, screaming at me saying I have a heart of coal.
I am a fool girl.
