Enchanted Island
Balance
On Enchanted Island by Millard Sheets
Trust that there is always balance,
an in-between.
There is always a good and a bad.
For every beautiful life you see,
there must be disaster behind the scenes.
What used to be perfect, will soon decay.
All that may seem at peace,
will contain violence within.
Every form of life and its beauty, will come to an end
Where there is warmth from the sun,
There is a cold ocean beneath.
It has harsh waves from the side, and from above, a mist.
Beneath the comforting, soft sand,
sits sharp, cracked stone.
Don't dig too deep, the broken rock is very steep.
Songs are sung by seagulls in the sky,
Each soars with each other and never leaves the flock.
Alone in the sea, cries a whale you can’t accompany
Bright colors radiate everywhere on the land,
There’s flowers, grass, and even sand.
They cover darkness in the waters below.
Trust that there is always balance,
an in-between.
There is always a good and a bad.
